Seeds of Wisdom

Playing the Game of Life

As we enter into 'the game of life' as very small children, we are in the process of discovering our full potential. We are humble enough to know that we will eventually become so much more, because we are still growing and learning. Eager to recognize our capabilities, we start to develop our strengths and uncover our talents. As we continue to explore the 'game of life' we are faced with obstacles and challenges. Those stumbling blocks help us discover our resources and increase our self-awareness.

When we begin our journey through life we are whole and complete. We then travel down different paths and often loose sight of the power of our internal resources. This basically happens because we are subjected to limiting conversations in the world that implant our mind with seeds of doubt. Those seeds are then fertilized by the negative conversations we have in our own mind. When we come across a person we think is better than us in some way, we assess ourselves as being inferior. Then to make ourselves feel better, we often look at someone else, judge that person's character and view ourselves as superior. This is simply done as an attempt to reinstate our own sense of being powerful.

We are all unique, which is something to be cherished. Each of us has a different opinion; so who is right and what is true? Truth is subjective and the only thing that is constant is change. We are all in the process of discovering more of ourselves and each one of us is capable of change. If we are willing to explore that concept fully, we can remain humble in a world that is primarily ruled by ego. Ego creates far too much separation in our lives, which closes us down to being loved.

This physical world is an illusion. The only thing that is real is our feelings. They are of paramount importance because they bring substance to our experience. We all know judgment and criticism hurt. If we know this is true, why do we insist on punishing others and ourselves by continuing to criticize and judge? We need to choose wisely, and very carefully when we review our capabilities and the potential of those around us. Our challenge is to learn how to value our own feelings while we remain sensitive to the feelings of those around us. Having compassion and searching for a deeper understanding is the key to being at peace.

When we honor our heart and continue to expand our way of thinking, we stay on course and feel at home no matter where life takes us. At times we face people in the world that show up like dictators and tyrants. Confronted by fear, it is easy to loose sight of the strength of our will and the power of our love. To win 'the game of life', we must conquer our fears by overcoming our self-doubt. Then we will know that there is nothing missing inside of us and we will finish the game where we began - in a complete state of innocence, where we recognize our inherent worth.

If we make choices and decisions that enhance our feelings and uplift our spirit, we open ourselves to being loved. Then we can finally walk down a path, through 'the game of life' expecting and achieving great rewards. We can take the pressure off ourselves and put an end to self-denial, conflict and self-punishment. The day that we feel confident enough to stand up and recite the following words, we will know wholeheartedly, that we are an aspect of God.

“I stand whole and complete. I have everything I need to be a winner, and I declare that I am willing to be loved completely for who I am in this moment. I acknowledge the power of my love above all else and I know that I am capable of overcoming fear by remaining humble and surrendering my doubt.”

When we can make this declaration earnestly, it will be a great day as we celebrate our freedom. We will then realize it is our divine right to experience 'Heaven on Earth in a body'. Liberation will be our reward, as we embrace all aspects of life with love and acceptance and acknowledge our power as the Creator in action.
